The "Mikelart" brand was created in 2002 from an idea of young entrepreneur Michele Sessa, a goldsmith jewellery designer that created a line of jewel accessories inspired by classical ballet.
The success of this collection pushed Michele to create other collections always inspired to classical ballet, quickly becoming a point of reference for the whole sector.
In the years Michele creates diadems and jewelry which were crafted for the biggest étoiles among which Svetlana Zakharova, Polina Semionova, Luciana Savignano, Maximiliano Guerra e Manuel Josè Carreño, consolidating his leadership position.
In 2006 Michele sets up MK DANZA, a company that produces and distributes dance clothing, and opens its first store in Vicenza. Today MK DANZA is the official distributor of Mikelart jewelry.
In 2011 he designs and develops together with friend and entrepreneur Roberto Boggi, owner of Roberto Boggi Danza based in Bergamo, a completely new clothing collection: Dance House.
Sharing the vision and experiences has allowed this project to be successful from the start. Roberto's presence in the project, who has 20 years experience in the sector and is a point of reference among dancers and academies worldwide, has been vital for the success of the dance clothing line. www.dancehouse.it
In 2011 during the III edition of the MPS Monte dei Paschi di Siena award for "L'Italia che Danza", Michele Sessa's Mikelart "Dancing jewels" receives the "Company Award", as a recognition for the company's role in differentiating the quality, prestige, and excellence of the "Made in Italy", in helping recognize the art of dance throughout the world.
